Summer News Shorts

It has been a very eventful summer at Twin Falls Lodge. Staff and guides worked furiously as soon as the ice was off to install the new docks, stairs, filleting shed and new generator. The changes on the dock side of camp make it much easier and safer for our guests and staff.

Fishing has been good as always with guests who care to count catching and releasing 100-200 fish in their 3 day visit.

The new cabins are a hit with many guest while some still prefer the older, rustic cabins with the wood stoves. Staff and guest never tire of the killer view off the deck of the lodge as the sun sets over Robertson Falls.

Twin Falls Lodge and Adventure Destinations International decided to cancel a number of groups over a 2 week period. This was a difficult choice to make however the risk of having guests stuck on either side of a road closure was felt to be too great to have guests travel north. On July 15th the rains finally arrived to bring some relief to the weary firefighters and the road is open once again. Many groups rebooked their trip for later this summer but there are still slots available through most of August.

Ladies' Only Trip

The Ladies Only fishing trip was hindered by the road closures and forest fires however 11 women still braved the trip north through road closures and smoke to attend the 10th Annual Ladies Only Fishing Trip. Unfortunately Brad Johner was in La Ronge enroute to Twin Falls when La Ronge was evacuated and couldn’t make it to Twin Falls to perform for the Ladies.

Honoured Guests

We had the honour of hosting 95 year old World War II veteran Barry Needham and his family. He is an inspiring man and was a highlight for us all! All of our guests were great to meet and we hope to everyone again on future visits.

Ron's Retirement

Ron Cojocar is starting to wind down and preparing to retire after 35 years of managing Twin Falls Lodge. He will be missed by many of the longtime guests coming to Twin Falls.

Introducing the Fly Fishing Film Tour

The Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) is the largest flyfishing film tour in North America, hitting almost 140 U.S. cities and the major centres in Canada, Europe and Southeast Asia.

In late June, ADI partnered with Beattie Outdoor Productions to produce a film for the 2016 F3T Tour to showcase Selwyn Lake's legendary trophy pike fly-fishing!

We're beyond excited to showcase Selwyn's trophy pike fishery to the fly-fishing community of the world. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for upcoming teasers, pictures, film tour dates and the film release!
